Other Home Business and Work at Home Products

There are a LOT of home office products out there, from furniture to supplies to gadgets and decor - I did some of the searching for you and created this list of some best home office product stores out there - most of which I've personally used and reviewed.

Printing Services

I've used this company for years, for nearly all of my clients print design projects, and couldn't be happier with the service, prices, support, responsiveness, or quality of the resulting print projects. You simply can't go wrong with this company!

Online Shopping

Payloadz is the system I use to sell the "do it yourself design" ebooks that I've written. It piggy backs on PayPal and allows me to easily accept credit cards as well as Paypal, and deliver the products. It also works for software, audio and any other digital file you want to sell.

Drop Shipping Doba

If you have an ecommerce business or sell on EBay, Doba (formerly Wholesale Marketer) is a fantastic way to get any of 150,000 products in front of your buyers from one wholesale source. It gives you one easy to use interface for finding the products you can sell in your online shop, and then someone else handles all the shipping and fulfillment. There really is not a better system out there, from what I've researched. Read my review here.

Home Office Furniture

Everything Office Furniture: Since you spend about 80% of your waking hours inside your home office, the comfort, ergonomics and attractiveness of that space is supremely important. I've done a lot of online research and browsing for office furniture and accesses for small home offices over the years and this store has an excellent selection, helpful descriptions and good policies. I particular like that they have a lot of more affordable options based on the more expensive designs, and an outstanding selection of modular furniture.

Telecommunications

Phone Shark: If you run a virtual home based business like I do, you will have found yourself periodically needing to call internationally. My home office telephone service is super affordable but doesn't include calls out of the US. I use PhoneShark for purchasing "as needed" calling card pins that I can use to pay for international long distance. You can search for the best card option for your particular needs, pay by credit or debit card and instantly receive a number and a pin you can use with your regular phone to place the call. I've made calls around the world with cards that cost less than a penny per minute!

This is an affordable way to look a lot bigger than you really are. GotVMail is a way to give your business professional quality voice mail, a virtual receptionist, call forwarding, toll free numbers, mail boxes for each virtual employee, and more! Definitely worth a look.

Web Hosting

I've used two different companies for many years, for all of my clients. Each is different in what they offer but highly recommended and well priced. BlueHost is the most feature rich, but doesn't have as many available packages as Crystal Tech. For someone who wants to have multiple sites under one hosting package, or install a lot of scripts and programs like WordPress, it is ideal.

I've been extremely happy for a number of years, with Crystal Tech. From the reasonable prices, extremely full featured services to the great statistics and control panel, I've become confident enough in them to recommend them as a host and also host many of my client's sites there. I didn't mention the customer service - on the rare occasion that I need help and can't find the answer in knowledge base or discussion forums, I love being able to talk to a "real live person" who is helpful and sensible.

Credit Card Processing & Merchant Accounts

Practice Pay Solutions: This is the company I use for processing credit cards. It turns your computer into a "virtual terminal" so you don't have to swipe anything and the client doesn't need to be in the same room. The customer service and features have been awesome and we highly recommend PPS to anyone who wants to accept credit cards. And, you can also upgrade to their shopping cart if you are selling anything online - it is a a rebranded version of the award winning and very popular 1ShoppingCart.

Accept By Phone: Another way to process credit cards from your home office is this service, which uses a touch tone phone system to enter the information from the customer or client. I haven't personally tried it because I'm all set with PPS, but I spoke with the company president and was impressed with how they thier system works.
